Sgt Rock Special / DC Special Series #3, 1977 - New material fills this double-sized special featuring Sgt. Rock and Easy Company. Joe Kubert, the character's longtime artist, only provides the cover. His montage uses the hero's face as centralized focal point, surrounding him with wartime imagery. The nazi solider on the lower left seems squeezed into the layout, but Kubert's portrait compensates. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Doug Wildey, Sergio Aragones and Dave Manak. This is 1 of 4 DC Special Series issues by Kubert.
