John Wayne Adventure Comics #3 - Al Williamson / Frank Frazetta art

John Wayne Adventure Comics v1 #3, 1950 - In the first of two Al Williamson tales, John Wayne and a buddy track down the most dangerous mountain lion in the area. His second story is more typical western fare: during a town celebration, a re-enactment of a historical robbery goes awry when real gunmen take over. Frank Frazetta's inking is less potent than the previous issue, offering little improvement over Williamson's pencils. While disappointing, their efforts surpass the rest of the issue. This is number 2 of 6 John Wayne Adventure issues with Frazetta art and/or covers (not including reprints) and number 2 of 6 John Wayne Adventure issues with Williamson art and/or covers (not including reprints).
