Gorgo v1 #4, 1961 - The seemingly non-stop chaos on the cover is faithfully captured by Steve Ditko. Despite the challenging task, the artist combines the many elements into a pleasing and cohesive layout. The stark foreground lighting looks particularly effective in this nighttime scene. Attributed as an original in some comic book guides, this illustration was first used as the opening splash of Gorgo #1. Other artists in this issue include Nicholas Alascia.
