Battleground v1 #13, 1956 - At the Action at Sedan, Al Williamson captures the decisive battle that ended the Franco-Prussian War. Overall the work is satisfactory, bolstered by the artist's skillful figure drawing. Certain scenes are looser than others. The large opening panel, with its well-executed composition, is the story's high point. Other artists in this golden age war comic include Russ Heath, Gene Colan, Mort Drucker, Dick Ayers and Bill Walton. This is 2 of 3 Battleground issues by Williamson.
