Atom and Hawkman v1 #43, 1969 - On this dark
Joe Kubert cover, Hawkman lies badly beaten while the Ghost gallops off in the moonlight. Most of the details reside in the foreground, emphasizing the hero's painful defeat. Kubert's lack of definition in the villain and horse nicely coincides with their spectral state.
