Movie Love v1 #8, 1958 - Like the title suggests, this series is dedicated to current and past film stars. Photos of Corinne Calvert and John Barrymore Jr. grace the cover. while scenes from the movies Quebec and New Mexico are adapted in comic book form inside. Also included are short bios of actors John Payne and Montgomery Clift. William Holden's big break is retold, lushly drawn by Al Williamson and Frank Frazetta. There is little variation in the settings, emphasizing mostly the faces and figures. While a tad monotonous, the artists' skillful and fluid renderings more than compensate. This story was later reprinted in the book Al Williamson Forbidden Worlds. Other artists in this golden age comic include Morris Weiss, Paul Berube and Fred Guardineer. This is 1 of 1 Movie Love issues by Williamson and 1 of 2 Movie Love issues by Frazetta.
