Batman v1 #245, 1973 - Coerced by a political boss, a computer scientist takes part in framing a mayoral candidate.
Neal Adams' illustrations continue to impress, displaying a mastery of layout and draftsmanship. Like his cover design, the artist uses lighting throughout the story to establish mood. Batman's confrontation of the scientist (see interior page below) is a perfect example, using a silhouetted lamp to add depth and contrast. Dick Giordano is credited as inker, but too many panels and pages suggest that Adams contributed as well. This story was later reprinted in
Saga of Ra's Al Ghul #4. Other artists in this comic include Irv Novick. This is 27 of 30

I compared the inking styles of Batman 244 with Flash 218, which has a Green Lantern story with credits to Adams and Giordano and came out the same month. The styles seem slightly different- I second your opinion that Adams inked at least some of this book, you can see it in many of the faces.
Too bad the colorist for the Batman story was too lazy to clean the blue ink out of his brush. The whole book is monochromatic.
Giordano's inks in the GL story are excellent.
Thanks for the comments. I prefer Adams inking his own pencils, although Tom Palmer did a great job on X-men #56-63,65.
