Brave and the Bold v1 #86, 1969 - First meeting in Brave and the Bold #79, Deadman tries to kill the Batman under the influence of the Society of Assassins. Subsequently, the heroes travel to legendary Nanda Parbat, nestled in the Himalayans. A high degree of craftsmanship pervades Neal Adams' drawings. Clearly defined, expressive faces and masterfully foreshortened figures fill the pages. Of the many exceptional scenes, the opening splash of Batman and Robin descending on a group of thugs is a favorite. The monochromatic palette allows the eye to focus on Adams' perfect composition. This silver age comic story was later reprinted in Best of DC #26 and Deadman #7. This is 10 of 17 Brave and the Bold issues by Adams. /// Adams gallery
