Aquaman #62 |
Aquaman v1 #62, 1978 - Aquaman deals with the tragedy and aftermath of his son's death, a rather grim theme for a superhero book.
Don Newton handles the scenes with less nuance than I'd prefer, but as the plot moves into more familiar territory, his artwork meets expectations. His layouts are more varied than usual, experimenting with both pacing and sequencing. Aqualad also makes an appearance this issue. Other artists in this bronze age comic include cover illustrator Jim Aparo. This is 3 of 4
