Tarzan v1 #130, 1962 - A rift forms between the Brothers of the Spear, started by the arrival of twenty hypnotic strangers. Capably drawn and laid out,
Russ Manning a tale with more espionage than action. His most distinctive scene is page 3 panel 5, showing Dan-el and the strangers' partially constructed palace (see interior page below). The shadows cast by the ferns above create a visually arresting pattern. Other artists in this silver age comic include Jesse Marsh (on Tarzan).
