Uncanny X-men v1 #171, 1983 - Rogue makes her second appearance in comics and her first on this series. Guest artist Walt Simonson brings a sharp, often harsh drawing style to the characters. Many of his facial expressions are repetitive and fail to match the mood of certain scenes. In general, the art pales to his other works from the same period, notably his second run on Thor. On the positive side, the opening splash of an irate Storm is electrifying. This is 1 of 2 X-men issues by Simonson.
