Witching Hour #7 - Neal Adams cover, Alex Toth art

Neal Adams
Witching Hour v1 #7, 1970 - On Neal Adams' first cover for the series, an escaped convict becomes the victim of a gaseous creature. Well drawn and designed, the layout thinly separates the two figures with a curved contour. Inside, Alex Toth's opening splash features the mysterious, lumbering Egor. Though only three pages, the artist combines horror and humor quite effectively. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Bill Draut, Jack Abel, Mike Seokwsky and Mike Kaluta. This is 2 of 8 Witching Hour issues by Adams and 5 of 10 Witching Hour issues by Toth. /// Toth gallery
