On the framing pages, Cain and Abel, hosts of House of Mystery and House of Secrets, respectively, pay a visit to the three witches who narrate this title. The characters are superbly drawn, each conveying a distinct personality (see interior page below). Despite their realistic rendition, Adams succeeds in retaining the scenes' humorous flair.
