The Rifleman v1 #6, 1961 - Based on the television show starring Chuck Connors, Alex Toth contributes an unrelated back-up tale between the two features. A roomy, detailed panel opens on the town sheriff and his aging horse. Despite only four pages, Toth's draftsmanship is keenly evident. The faces of the various characters, from the concerned banker to the town sheriff (see interior page below), have a depth of feeling that's conveyed with great skill. Photo cover. This is 2 of 2 Rifleman issues by Toth.
