Joe Kubert's drawings are watered down considerably by Jack Abel's inks. Fine lines are omitted or oversimplified. Even the two-page portrait of Easy Company (pages 5-6) is diminished due to lack of detail. Kubert's cover is far better, with its tightly cropped layout. Note how Rock's head and the pistol frame the teen-age supporting characters. This is 127 of 236
