Nightmare v2 #13, 1954 - This cover sports a rather bizarre scene of a skin diver's encounter with underwater female creatures.
Matt Baker's layout incorporates multiple figures within a limited amount of space. In the foreground, a woman lies seductively on her back, vaguely reminiscent of the sirens of Greek mythology. Baker's fantastical illustration also benefits from the cover's rich, aquatic color palette. Other artists in this golden age horror comic include George Tuska. This is 1 of 1

Wonderful cover. The cramped, claustrophobic feel enhances the feeling that the diver is trapped. Good (blue sea-creature) girl art for an adventure title.
