Incredible Hulk v2 #258, 1981 - Landing in Afghanistan during the Russian invasion, Ol' Greenskin goes up against the Soviet Super Soldiers: Vanguard, Darkstar, the new Crimson Dynamo and Ursa Major, a mutant who transforms into a massive bear. Crammed with figures, Frank Miller's cover is marred by the lack of breathing room. Two villains are nearly mirror images in stance, monotonously framing the title character. Al Milgrom's weak inking also doesn't help this overall mediocre effort. Sal Buscema draws the interiors for this Bill Mantlo tale.
