Man-Thing v1 #8, 1974 - The Man-Thing stumbles upon a hidden community that long ago discovered the Fountain of Youth. Despite both penciling and partially inking the tale, Mike Ploog's artwork varies widely in quality. The story begins with a splash page and generously sized panels, yet his drawing skills pale compared to the previous issue. Pages 22 and 30 in particular seem a tad below his usual standards. Still, far more pages are competently drawn and I suspect Frank Chiaramonte (uncredited) inked all but pages 6-8. This is 4 of 7 Man-Thing issues by Ploog. /// Ploog gallery
