Unknown Soldier v1 #205, 1977 - After years of headlining Star Spangled War Stories, the Unknown Soldier earns his first self-titled series. This first issue continues the numbering from the previous title. For the occasion, the soldier's origin is briefly inserted in the main story. Cleverly, Joe Kubert's cover places the hero out front with his upper body cropped out. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Ric Estrada.
