Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #34 |
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #34, 1943 - Encouraged by his nephews, Donald Duck is determined to do only good deeds for the day. Instead, he inadvertently causes one calamity over another. Carl Barks' sight gags continue to improve, but appears to struggle with both layout and pacing. Some panels are more minimal than others (see interior page below). Interestingly, this is among his first stories (partially) set in an unnamed tropical locale. Other artists in this comic include Al Taliaferro. Cover by Walt Kelly. This is 4 of 280 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by Barks.
