Adventure Comics #464 - Don Newton art

Adventure Comics v1 #464, 1979 - Under the guise of environmentalism, a shipping tycoon plans to conquer Atlantis. In this Aquaman tale, Don Newton widely varies the layouts but retains its cohesiveness. Some are more inventive, such as incorporating undersea rock formations as panel borders. Bob Smith adheres to Newton's pencils while adding his own unique flair. The resulting artwork is more sensitive as well as dimensional. Other artists in this issue include Jose Luis Garcia Lopez, Joe Staton, Don Heck and others. This is number 4 of 8 Adventure Comics issues with Newton art and/or covers.
