DC 100 Page Super Spectacular #DC-19 - Russ Manning reprints, Joe Kubert cover

Joe Kubert
DC 100 Page Super Spectacular v1 #DC-19 / Tarzan, 1973Joe Kubert's multi-scene Tarzan cover seems a tad rushed, filling every available space in the layout. Inside, Russ Manning's artwork fills nearly the entire book. Originally published in the 1960s, these Tarzan newspaper strips are recomposed to fit the standard comic book format. Admittedly, some of the resulting layouts are more clumsy than others. Also, the reproduction quality is only fair to good. Still, this is the first time these stories have been shown together as a whole. Manning's precise craftsmanship shines through in every panel, throughout almost eighty pages of action. This is 2 of 2 DC 100 Page Super Spectacular issues by Kubert.
