Ghostly Haunts #40 - Steve Ditko, Don Newton art

Ghostly Haunts v1 #40, 1974 - Concocting a new formula, a brilliant chemist invents a way to exponentially speed up the evolutionary process. Steve Ditko's unique style is evident, but no better or worse and other works of the same era. His best effort is page 5, where he employs line and shape into a superlative composition. Don Newton supplies a primer on the history of vampire and werewolf terms. Lavishly drawn, the single page outshines the rest of the book (see interior page below). Other artists in this issue include Wayne Howard and Tom Sutton. See today's posts or more Newton, Ditko or Ghostly Haunts issues. See also this blog's Newton checklist or Ditko checklist.
