Brave and the Bold #44 - Joe Kubert art & cover

Joe Kubert
Brave and the Bold v1 #44 presents Hawkman, 1962 - Joe Kubert's last issue featuring the winged wonder contains two memorable stories. Innovative thinking foils a gang of thieves in “Earth's Impossible Day”, while strange animal-headed men try to revive an ancient city in “The Men Who Moved the World”. Kubert's skillful draftsmanship appears throughout the issue, including his fine cover. His linework is precise, characteristic of his work during the 1960s. The former (later reprinted in Adventure Comics #413) has better linework and layouts overall than the latter (later reprinted in Detective Comics #438). This is number 31 of 33 Brave and the Bold issues with Kubert art and/or covers (not including reprints).
