Captain America #250 - John Byrne art & cover

Captain America #250 marvel 1980s bronze age comic book cover art by John Byrne
John Byrne
Captain America v1 #250, 1980 - In one of the most thought-provoking issues of the series, Captain America is approached to be a candidate for President of the United States. John Byrne brilliantly uses a political campaign pin for the cover, but his story artwork is even better. Atypically, most pages comprise of Cap's conversations with politicos, neighbors and fellow Avengers and his own musings. The credits (which don't appear until page 8) are cleverly framed within a splash of a front page newspaper article. Byrne preserve the story's nuances and complexities with exceptional pacing and layouts. This is 6 of 15 Captain America issues by Byrne. /// Byrne gallery
