Cheyenne Kid #12 - Al Williamson art

Cheyenne Kid #12
Cheyenne Kid v1 #12, 1958 - Crossing the Pecos River, the Cheyenne Kid meets Judge Roy Bean and proceeds to help him clean up the territory. Loose and erratic, Al Williamson's artwork lack definition throughout most of the pages. The stories are hurriedly drawn for the most part, with little help from inker Angelo Torres. One of the few arresting scenes occurs on page 4 as the Cheyenne Kid takes issue with an accuser (see interior page below). One source cites that Williamson may have contributed partial inks to the opening story "War Party", but I see no evidence of it. Other artists in this golden age western comic include Rocco Mastroserio. This is 3 of 5 Cheyenne Kid issues by Williamson
