Captain America #245 - Frank Miller cover

Frank Miller
Captain America v1 #245, 1980 - A Holocaust survivor decides to mete out justice to the ex-Nazi who murdered her family. The intensity of Frank Miller's cover is heightened by high contrast colors. Cap stands helpless in the background, his anxiety symbolized by the broken window behind him. Miller often used this technique, which is more understated in this case. Other artists in this issue include Carmine Infantino and Josef Rubinstein. This is number 3 of 4 Captain America issues with Miller art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Miller or Captain America issues. See also this blog's Frank Miller checklist.
