Neal Adams |
World's Finest Comics v1 #176, 1968 - An alien policeman tracks down a fugitive from his home planet, seeking the help of Batman and Supergirl. Meanwhile, the fugitive proclaims his innocence and gains the trust of Superman and Batgirl. In his second of two tales on this series,
Neal Adams does a superlative job illustrating this tale of competing super-teams. His renditions of these iconic heroes are further enhanced by his masterful perspective and foreshortening skills (see interior page below). As with the previous issue, his layouts are kinetic and engaging. Unfortunately, Adams' minimal cover pales compared to his interiors. This silver age story was later reprinted in
Super-Team Family #3 and
Best of DC #16. This is 3 of 25
