Weird War Tales #82 - Don Newton art

Weird War Tales #82
Weird War Tales v1 #82, 1979 - During World War Two, a Navy frogman is sucked into a vortex, leading to a peaceful underwater civilization. Don Newton contrasts the brightly lit scenes of Atlantis with darker depictions of war. The latter is more detailed and interesting, especially the skeletal host of the story, also dressed in frogman attire. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Ruben Yandoc, Romeo Tanghal and Howard Chaykin. Cover by George Evans. This is 1 of 2 Weird War Tales issues by Newton.
