Weird Fantasy v2 #18 - Al Williamson art

Weird Fantasy v2 #18, 1953 - One of his best works, Al Williamson tells the tale of an astronaut's scheme to steal his buddy's wife. Like many EC stories, the panels are relatively small and full of text. The artist still takes great care in delineating each one in superb detail. The opening page is the most stunning (see interior page below), with its modeling, depth and emotional impact. The issue also includes the classic tale "Judgment Day" and its bold, progressive stance on racism. Other artists in this issue include Will Elder, Jack Kamen, Joe Orlando and John Severin. This is number 5 of 8 Weird Fantasy issues with Williamson art and/or covers.
