Marvel Premiere v1 #47 featuring Ant Man, 1979 - Driven to desperation, a Stark Industries employee named Scott Lang dons the original Ant Man costume to save his daughter. Cassie makes a brief appearance in four panels this issue, one panel in the next. Likewise, her father made cameo appearance in another title just a month before. John Byrne handles the pencils adeptly, constructing them within highly kinetic layouts (see interior page below). Bob Layton comes through as one of Byrne's most compatible inkers, adding panache as well as definition. The story ends with a powerful two page spread, revealing the issue's villain for the first time. This David Michelinie story concludes next issue. This is 2 of 3 Marvel Premiere issues by Byrne.
