Red Sonja v3 #2 - Nestor Redondo art

Red Sonja v3 #2
Red Sonja v3 #2, 1983 - Delirium overcomes Red Sonja, a result of inadvertently drinking from a tainted spring. Glimpses from her childhood are revealed, providing clues to her origins. Although already laid out and sequenced, Nestor Redondo does a superb job on inking Mary Wilshire's pencils. Some pages are better than others, but the majority of panels contain a phenomenal level of detail. From the carefully drawn outdoor foliage (see interior page below) to the stone-walled castle interiors (pages 13,18,26,38), Redondo raises the bar in this copper age comic to new artistic heights. This is 1 of 2 Red Sonja v3 issues by Redondo.

Wilshire seems to be paying homage to Barry Windsor Smith on the cover. The characters depicted show no knowledge of swordsmanship.
