Robin Hood Tales #4 - Matt Baker art, mis-attributed Baker cover

Robin Hood Tales v1 #4, 1956 - Some comic book prices guide have attributed this cover to Matt Baker, but the poorly proportioned head and arm of Robin Hood leads me to believe otherwise. Although only four pages, "Sir Guy's Worst Fate" is a fine Baker back-up tale more recognizable in style. His skillful renditions of the character's expressions are hallmarks of his work. This is number 3 of 5 Robin Hood Tales issues with Baker art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Baker or Robin Hood Tales issues. See also this blog's Baker checklist.

  1. Doesn't one of these pages belong to another Robin Hood comic?

  2. Thanks for pointing that out. It's been corrected.
