Western Bandit Trails v1 #3, 1949 - A couple panning for gold is suddenly interrupted by bandits on horseback. Even in this frantic scene, Matt Baker shows off the woman's legs in typical "cheesecake" fashion. The artist also draws the lead story, starring western heroine Gingham Fury. The panels are too numerous and the dialogue too wordy, confining the art to smaller spaces. Despite these disadvantages, the elegance of Baker's drawings is undiminished. This story was later reprinted in Approved Comics #9. Other artists in this golden age comic include Howard Larsen. This is 3 of 3 Western Bandit Trails issues by Baker.
