3-D Comics (Tor #2B) - Joe Kubert art & cover

Tor v1 #2B st john golden age comic book cover art by Joe Kubert
Joe Kubert
3D Comics (Tor v1 #2B), November 1953 - The second of two "3D" issues with the same numbering, this edition is often listed under Tor in comic book guides. Joe Kubert's caveman character is prominently featured in most stories, drawn with great enthusiasm. Among the most memorable scenes: the bold two page spread of Tor's confrontation with another caveman ("Panelrama") and his witnessing a hynea pack's killing of a prehistoric brute ("Giant One"). By contrast, the artist's four pages on evolution are more realistically rendered. Like all 3D comics, the artwork suffers marginally from the 3D printing process. This is 2 of 5 Tor issues by Kubert. /// Kubert gallery
