Wally Wood
T.h.u.n.d.e.r. Agents v1 #13, 1967 - A counter-spy infiltrates Thunder's development center, securing the newly invented Atomic Gun. Fast paced and at times erratic, Dan Adkins' pencils benefit from Wally Wood's superb finishes. On the cover, an arresting layout uses a giant web to display various team members. A gargantuan spider encroaches in the foreground, bringing a horrific element to the scene. Other artists in this silver age comic include Ogden Whitney, Chic Stone, George Tuska and Paul Reinman. No Steve Ditko art in this issue, despite what some comic book price guides say. The artist's work does appear in 6 other issues of Thunder Agents. This is 13 of 18 Thunder Agents issues by Wood. /// Wood gallery / original cover sketch
