Atom and Hawkman v1 #41, 1969 - The split screen approach on
Joe Kubert's busy cover accurately conveys two separate features within the issue. The Hawkman segment concludes a story begun in the previous issue. Joe Kubert once again provides the pencils with Murphy Anderson inking. The tightly rendered finishes are not displeasing, but still detract from the original drawings. Overall the artists' respective styles are unable to mesh together. Despite the diminished results, Kubert's layouts maintain much of their integrity. Other artists in this silver age comic include Dick Dillin and Sid Greene. This is 3 of 7
