X-Men v1 #127, 1979 - Moira MacTaggart tracks down Proteus (formerly Mutant X) to the city of Edinburgh. Consequently, she's taken hostage just as the X-men close in.
John Byrne's opening splash is similar to his cover, only darker and graver. Superbly illustrated, the artist manages to handle a multitude characters (joined by Havok and Polaris) with seemingly little effort. A highlight is Cyclops' attack on his own teammates (pages 7-15), testing their battle readiness. This is 19 of 35
