Ronin v1 #6, 1984 - Although minimal, Frank Miller's cover does not lack in solemnity or impact. This finale to the Ronin saga continues to be visually engaging. Pages 16-27 employs the exact same layout, using repetition to slowly build up momentum. Just as in previous issues, Miller's carefully planned sequencing is often better than his illustrations. The story culminates in an explosive double gatefold (four page spread), unprecedented in mainstream comics.
