Warlock v1 #12, 1976 - The series takes a light-hearted turn, focusing on the obnoxious Pip the Troll.
Jim Starlin's layouts are more conventional than previous issues, but his drawings remain sound. On page 14, Warlock ruminates on his existence while floating in space. His figure recurs in a sequence devoid of typical panel borders. The effect slows the story's pacing while maintaining order and clarity. Steve Leialoha's inks seem more dominant than before, but to the benefit of Starlin's pencils. This story was first reprinted in
Warlock v2 #3 and
