Our Army At War v1 #206 featuring Sgt. Rock, 1969 - Immersed in women, wine and food, Easy Company lets their guard down while a Nazi patrol surrounds them.
Joe Kubert's employs an unusual, but effective split scene for the cover, marking the contrast between leisure and survival. Inside, Sgt. Rock is drugged by one of the women, inducing two splash pages of hallucinatory imagery. Kubert handles the artwork confidently, using varying styles and effects. Overall, the results are visually pleasing and distinctive. Other artists in this silver age comic include Ken Barr. This is 141 of 236
