Our Army At War #191 - Joe Kubert art & cover

Joe Kubert
Our Army At War v1 #191 featuring Sgt. Rock, 1968 - Johnny Cloud, Native American flying ace, joins forces with Easy Company to take out a missile silo hidden within an innocuous windmill. Joe Kubert's cover flares red with intensity, almost downplaying the two heroes. Inside, his bold opening splash sets the stage for some of his most exciting layouts to date. An equally fine page is the hand-to-hand combat scene on page 4 (see interior page below), artfully drawn within a gripping layout. Other artists in this issue include Jack Abel. See today's posts or more Kubert or Our Army at War issues. See also this blog's Kubert checklist.
