Magnus Robot Fighter v1 #13, 1966 - Orbiting in close proximity to the sun, a space ark carries several kidnapped scientists and Leeja Clane. Russ Manning chronicles Magnus' attempted rescue, filling the pages with intense fighting and action. As usual, the artist creates advanced robots and technologies to suit the story (see interior page below). Details are meticulous and abundant. This story was later reprinted in Vintage Magnus Robot Fighter #3. Manning's art for The Aliens featurette has smaller, busier panels that just meets expectations.
