Green Lantern / Green Arrow v2 #81, 1970 - Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Black Canary accompany their Guardian friend to Maltus, where population control has run amok. Neal Adams' cover, depicting columns of falling people, is impressively detailed. Inside, the artist's pencils are augmented by Dick Giordano's streamlined inks. On pages 11-12, the heroes look on as the consequences of overpopulation are shown in widely horizontal panels. Adams also uses Green Lantern's silhouette as a transitional panel (page 4), bridging the gap between two scenes. This story was later reprinted in DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest #16.
