Justice League of America #66 - Neal Adams cover

Neal Adams

Justice League of America v1 #66, 1968 - Almost comic in tone, the heroes retreat from the Dirty Half Dozen on this Neal Adams cover. His first effort on the series, the layout may have been provided by Carmine Infantino. Despite the busy composition, Adams adeptly incorporates multiple figures into a cohesive design. Note the artist's depiction of Green Arrow, prior to his costume redesign in Brave and the Bold #85. Other artists in this issue include Dick Dillin and Sid Greene. This is number 1 of 18 Justice League of America issues with Adams art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Adams or Justice League of America issues.
