4. Famous Funnies v1 #210, 1953 - The second of Frank Frazetta's exceptional Famous Funnies covers, Buck Rogers attempts to rescue Wilma, lying unconscious in the arms of her captor. The hero's head is somewhat disproportionate to the rest of his body, but does not detract significantly from the overall effect. There is a phenomenal amount of detail, from the alien's well defined muscles to Wilma's wafting hair. Overall, this is one of Frazetta's best covers and a masterpiece of the golden age.
