Our Fighting Forces #154 - Jack Kirby art & cover

Jack Kirby
Our Fighting Forces v1 #154 featuring the Losers, 1975 - Set in the Pacific theater, the Losers find themselves up against a Japanese commander nicked "The Tiger". Two terrific splashes and a breathtaking two-page spread are the highlights of this Jack Kirby effort. His sharply graphic approach infuses the pages with tension and excitement. Informative as well as entertaining, the artist adds labels to the weapons on pages 2-3 and includes a display of World War II military vehicles. Kirby's cover, sadly, falls short due to its clumsy layout. This is number 4 of 12 Our Fighting Forces issues with Kirby art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Kirby or Our Fighting Forces issues. See also this blog's Kirby checklist.
