Popular Romance #23 |
Popular Romance v1 #23, 1953 - With her husband missing in action in the Korean War, Marcia must decide to wait for him or move on with her life with a new love. With the exception of the title page, the story is rife with smallish panels. Alex Toth seems to take a more minimalist approach than the previous issue. Likewise, Mike Peppe's inks are less assertive with fewer lines for definition. Still, Toth's pages are marginally better than the rest of the issue. Other artists in this golden age comic include Art Saaf. This is 2 of 6 Popular Romance issues by Toth.
