Iron Man v1 #197, 1985 - The hero moves forward toward an unseen foe, his transistors at full power. The light from the white-hot rays obscures his hands while illuminating his armor. Though minimal, John Byrne's cover has an unspoken elegance and grace. The limited color palette also puts emphasis the lone figure. Other artists in this issue include Rich Buckler, Brian Garvey and Ian Akin. This is number 3 of 4 Iron Man issues with Byrne art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Byrne or Iron Man issues.
