The Danny Thomas Show / Four Color Comics v2 #1180 - Alex Toth art

The Danny Thomas Show / Four Color Comics v2 #1180, 1961 - Alex Toth's loose, kinetic style often proved effective in comedic situations. This example, based on the television show of the same name, was no exception. His acute draftsmanship permeates every page and panel without sacrificing ease of storytelling. Perhaps most impressive is his ability to capture the actors' likenesses throughout, especially Danny Thomas. Toth's contents page on the inside front cover is a tad too sketchy for my tastes, but the corresponding page on the back meets expectations. This is number 1 of 1 Danny Thomas Show issues with Toth art and/or covers. Compare this with Russ Manning's Danny Thomas Show issue.
